About Hardy Strength and Fitness
Hardy Strength and Fitness was established in 2020 based on my passion for getting people into the gym. My mission is to create a community of people who support each other in a safe space, allowing people of all levels to train without feeling judged. I have created a space where able-bodied athletes train alongside those with additional needs and neurotypical clients can train alongside neurodivergent customers.
Being able to train has always kept me feeling physically and mentally fit and confident and I want the same for all of our clients.
From our location in Hockley, we now offer
1-2-1 training
Group sessions
Online/remote coaching
Nutrition support
Training kit
About me, Ian Hardy
I’ve been involved in sports since I was six. In my younger years, I was involved in track athletics and middle-distance running.
As time passed, I found my love for Rugby union and still play to this day.
Being involved in sports lead me to the gym to improve my strength, size, and conditioning.
As I increasingly enjoyed my weight training, I found my way into the sport of strongman. My strongman highlight was pulling a 65-tonne train at a charity event.
Always up for a challenge I took a break from strongman to complete the London marathon twice in 2018 and 2019 before returning to strongman and rugby.
Currently, I still compete at some strongman events, regularly play rugby, and love sharing my experience with new athletes.
